Kelly Criterion Calculator

Enter the odds, the chance you give the bet of winning and your bankroll. The calculator returns the Kelly stake: the share of the bankroll that grows it fastest over many bets at that edge.

Example: at +120 with a 50% win chance, full Kelly is 8.3% of the bankroll. On $1,000 that is $83.33, half Kelly is $41.67 and quarter Kelly is $20.83.

Full Kelly assumes your win chance is exactly right, and it swings hard when it is not. Most bettors who use it stake a half or a quarter of the figure. When the price does not pay enough for your win chance, the Kelly stake is zero.
