NHL AI Picks and Predictions, Graded in Public
SharpCapper prices every NHL game against live sportsbook odds from real US books, and every pick we have ever published names the exact side, the exact number and the price we posted it at, graded in public afterwards, wins and losses alike. NHL publishing is currently on hold. Hockey gives a model two bettable markets, the puck line and the total, and we tested both against five seasons of real prices: both lost money, so rather than post picks to look busy we score the games, keep the record, and publish nothing until a market earns it.
Hockey is one of the sports where comparing prices across books actually earns its keep. NHL numbers are quoted by every major book and they do not always agree, so the same bet can be meaningfully better at one house than another. We take the best number we can actually get at a named US book and we grade against that number, not against a better one we did not take.
The goalie is the single biggest input on an NHL card, and a confirmed starter moves a line further than any skater. We price against the board as it stands when we post, which means an unconfirmed crease is a reason to pass rather than a reason to guess.
